Through my practice I explore postmodernist philosophy through the visual language of art. I construct images using simple recurring motifs whose simplicity allows for the viewer’s more complex subjectivity to emerge when reading the work, like that of tarot cards and dream symbolism. There is an unspoken language that is the loudest when it is interpretable. The goal of this methodology is not to manipulate a feeling or experience from the viewer, but to facilitate the creation of new connections. I create artistic symbolism that can go on to be used as a narrative or interpretative framework.
